2. BAD
This is an antonym for 'good' or 'nice' and similarly is being used very widely.
For instance;
- It is a bad furniture.
Does it mean... defective? faulty? absurd?

- Bella is considered as a bad girl as she often creates problems.
Does it mean...dishonest? evil? mischievious?

Both sentences do not convey the exact sense. Nevertheless, if you rewrite the above two sentences as:

- It is a defective furniture.
- Bella is considered as a mischievious girl as she often creates problems.

Thus, the meaning becomes very much clear and accurate.

VOCABULARY AMELIORATION

Over-used words:
Whether we realise or not, many of us keep on using lots of over-used or out-dated words, for instance, good, bad, big and old. Sometimes, these words no longer give clear definition instead there are innumerable amount of intriguing vocabs which can convey the desired meaning more concisely and precisely.

GOOD or NICE

1) I had a good/nice lunch.
substitute to
I had a sumptuous lunch.

2) I am reading a very good/nice book.
substitute to
I am reading a very informative book.

3) She has a good/nice capacity of understanding.
substitute to
She has an amazing capacity of understanding.

4) Our efforts have brought good/nice results this time.
substitute to
Our efforts have brought encouraging results this time.

Below is another two more examples of sentences which convey better meanings:

1. Jess is expected to obtain ‘good result’ this year.
Does ‘good result’ mean:
- Satisfactory result?
- Exemplary result?
- Excellent result?
- Commendable result?

To make it more clear and exact, this word is better:

Jess is expected to give exemplary result this year.

2. Raphael is a good person.
Does it mean that Raphael is:
- Kind-hearted?
- Virtuous?
- Honest?
- Trustworthy?

To make it more clear and exact, this word is better:

Raphael is a kind-hearted person.
